19th October 2022 Defribrillator Training
Hayley from Remedy First Aid Training gave a comprehensive demonstration of situations that you may be confronted with. Thankfully no one at the shed has had to use the defibrillator on a member, but could come in handy if someone needed to perform CPR. Different methods are used depending on the age of the person.
31st August 2022 Rosebud Funerals Sponsorship Presentation
Dianne and Kim came to the shed in support of their sponsorship and to talk about death and funerals. As this subject isn’t discussed very often, there was no shortage of interesting questions from the members who attended. It was very light hearted with some suprising answers. Their support is greatly appreciated by the members.
30th June 2022 10 Year Anniversary
Some of the members gathered at the Safety Beach Yacht Club for lunch to celebrate 10 years since the Safety Beach Dromana Men’s Shed was started. Some of those who were there from day 1 recounted some of the memories that have happened since then.
8th June 2022 Bendigo Bank Sponsorship Presentation
Alison and Peta came to the shed to present a large cheque to the value of $500.00. Bendigo Bank are a great supporter of local charities and organisations. They also enjoyed scones with jam and cream that Henry had baked.
25th May 2022 Fire Extinguisher Display
Trevor Holmes showed us different types of fire extinguishers as to what type to use on different fires. It is extremely important to use the correct extinguisher so as the fire doesn’t get any worse.
